I just got my pro-design stator plate so that I can advance my timing by 4 degrees, recommeded by Brandon. Is there an easy way to pull the cdi magneto off without a puller or do I have to buy one. There is not alot in the way of instructions with this unit can anyone offer me some tips on how to install this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ohtonracing sounds like you hve an aftermarket ignition with those suggestions. You do need a puller though. You basicly just bolt the thing on and rotate it according to the marks. Moving it clockwise advances adn counter clockwise is retarding. The stock ignition doesnt require the use of a dial indicator to set the timeing. Its very simple, just put it on the way the stock one is and rotate it according to the degree marks.

Thanks fellas, I needed that. Pro-Design doesn't have much in the way of instructions, but it sounds pretty simple. I like that fact that it has the indicator marked right in the aluminum. Brandon by what you have said, sounds like once I get the cdi and stock stator off, it should just fall into place.

It should fall right into place, with no problem. It sounds as though you have lots of experience OHTONRACING. I have tried a couple ignitions and the pvl is th best. When i saw the talk of a dial indicator and degree wheel, In knew you had some aftermarket experience! You cant just throw them puppies on there!.

Do I have to have that rotor holder to hold the flywheel when I crank that nut loose or will a high impact air gun break that center flywheel bolt loose? I bought a flywheel puller from magic yesterday and can't remove it without holding it with the proper tool.

a air wrench should pop it off no problem, just hold on to the flywheel with you other hand.
