actually, the turbo lag is caused from delay of pressure from the turbo, through the whole engine, and back to the turbo, then making yet more volume in the engine to reach peak hp.

 

Turbo lag is caused by the time it takes to "spool up" the turbo. The turbo runs off the exhaust, so it takes exhaust to make it spin, this all takes time, turbo lag is that time....

I saw a turbo Banshee make several runs this weekend at Little Sahara, OK. It could easily spank just about everything but the snowmobile powered Banshee's and the 1100cc Nitrous streetbike Banshee...

And yes, you could hear and see the turbo lag when he was riding it around, and if he didn't load it properly when launching.

 

The company Hiper Tech doesn't build the kits. They justed started to market them for GP Enginerring, which they now market them. 86atc250R was the Banshee down at Waynoka have black race cut plastic on it or did it have blue plastic on it? The black one is from Garden City, which is Kevin Gigot's, and the blue one is teh one that was in Dirtwheels that a guy in Andover Kansas bought for 10 grand.

 

Hey, we are going to the sand drags in Oklahoma at the end of this month. Can anyone tell me anything about them? A couple of us are going to meet our engine builders up there. If anyone has a link to a web page that would be awesome too.

What do you want to know? I was not participating. Being a 400EX rider, I was out jumping and kicking butt thru the trails & whoops, but only spectating at the drags.
