which pipes are the all around best for the banshee
#2
I myself like the Toomey T-5 pipes. They have an outstanding powerband, and they also sound very nice. The people a Toomey are also very kind in answering any questions. As for jetting, and air filter... I run the 2 into 1 foam filter with an outerwear that comes with the pro rider race kit.. I ride mostly in sand, and I have never had any problems.(of corse i have to of them, and change them out for each day that i ride.) I was running 280 main jets, but i moved down to 250's after i put my moto tasinnari delta v-force reed cage in. I ride mainly at 9000 ft.(Colorado) Hope this helps.

I used to really like teh toomeys, but the other day I ran some LRD's and they pulled like my drag pipes! They are top quality. I even had them adjusted out for more bottom, and they pulled until right before the line(about275ft) and fell off. I adjusted tehm in for more top end, and they never quit pulling! I really liked the way they ran. Of coarse they may not be as good on a motor that isnt as full blown as mine???????

Brandon,
Glad you had the chance to try them. As I mentioned in another post, that is what I have, so after trying them, if you have any other comments you'd like to add on what I need to do to get more low end, please do.
Thanks again for the great advice you've already offered.
PS... After trying them out, how do you think they would stack up against the motofast 2 into 1 pipe that I probably should have got?

I bought LRD pipes for my 99 Banshee, and they really do rip! Once its hits the midrange, its CYA! Also I have a PD cool head with 19cc domes on the way, so that should improve the low end, plus give the mid and top end a nice burst of acceleration as well.
