that sounds right for a stroker crank but thats high for a stock crank. A crank rebuild should only run around 400$ Rudy may not have understood you, or just goofed.

Might I reccommend running the TZ bearing on the drive side. I've never heard of one coming loose. Louie Swan has them in stock, I believe it's called Twist-it Cranks in Oregon (area code 503 for info).

Try givine TDR (Tony Doukas Racing) a call, they build lot's of Banshee cranks and do a great job. I got mine with Hot Rods, trued/welded, TZ end bearings, new center bearings, rebuildable center web, all for $500. Or you could go with a stroker.

I used to recommend TD, but we have sent back 4 cranks that have spun the main bearings. I usually recommend having crank works do it now. I have been on mine for over 1 year, drag racing and burning alcohol, and mine is like new. For around 300$ more you could get it stroked, but you have have a head cut for it, and your ports have to be raised to compensate for the longer stroke.

When you say spun the mains, I assume you mean you spun the main bearing in the case? How did this happen and what did Tony have to say about it? Just curious, I have had no problems with mine, and it looked "brand new" when I got it also. Not sure what you meant on that one. Later.
