I just got my Blaster yesterday and was wondering about drilling some holes in the airbox or removing it to see what kind of gain I would get. Do any of you do that? On my dirtbikes I've almost always done that. I did a WOT plug chop today to get a baseline on this bikes jetting. It's a tad rich, so opening up the airbox probably wouldn't require re-jetting. Opinions?

Thanks,

Take the lid off and put a K&N w/outerware instead of the foam. Check the jetting and adjust to get best results. I don't like the oil injection system and would run pre mix if I had a Blaster. You probably will not gain any noticable amount.

if you ride through alot of mud and water dont do it it is a big mistake i went on the poker run in cochranton,pa and barried my blaster and the mud ran right through those holes and through my carb into my engine and blowing it up costin me 400 dollars to repair it need a new rod and a complete top end rebuild a good tip is to ditch you oil in jection it can fail very easily blowing your motor up too.
