Default VP Racing fuel

I ran some VP MR1 in my Drag bike last weekend and it ran great, But today it would'nt start, The fuel that was left in the system had gummed up the carbs, I had to drain it and run some pump gas through it to get it cleaned out, Do you drain the fuel out when not in use?
Thanks

So im guessing that it is'nt standard to drain this stuff out after racing, Maybe if it is out in the sun it gums up, I should just get another can, but at $14 a gallon it's a little pricy.

According to my VP distributor, if you keep it cool in an air tight container, it will last for years.

I have not posted here in a while, and figure its time to start back up! I currently run VP C-12 in my Banshee and KX250. I am currently thinking about running either 50/50 C12/MR2 for for the oxygenation, or straight MR2 in both machines. Please keep posting what you have heard about MR1&2. I have had nothing but GREAT luck w/ C12 and hate to switch only to gain problems! Any other comments on the MR line?

I haven't heard about it, the MR 9. What are its specs, or where can I find them? TIA

Thanks Diggem.

The MR9 looks good for a little more power, over the MR2, if you can handle running that low of an octane, I can't. It has a higher O2 content and less specific gravity.

We just got back from racing at Amargosa, I ran the MR 9, It really ran good, I am going to stay with it until we go through the motor and up the compression, The only draw back to the MR 9 is the cost, $95 for a 5 gal. can
We ran a consistant 5.05 But I am having some problems with it not shifting, need to install a co2 shift.
