Default water/mud in my circuit breaker pouch

2002 Sportsman 700 - after riding this weekend I would loose all power but then it would work when it wanted. Checked the circuit breaker pouch in the front of the machine and sure enough it was full of water/mud. I made a clean cut on the pouch and cleaned all the connections and pouch.

My question is, what do you guys recommend for sealing the pouch back up? I don't want to order and wait for another one right now as it is peak riding season. Have you had any luck with certain products? Any tips?

Thanks in advance!!!

I use black RTV Adhesive to reseal them; it's water proof and dries into a rugged pliable patch, that can be easily cut open again if you need back in at some time in the future.

Tape and plenty of RTV sealant is what I used to use,but what I did was to seal all around the circuit breaker trying to insulate em from water and corrosion, then tape around the pouch The complete assembly was available also with the pouch and two leads and you could just splice em in. The pouches never have been able to seal out water even though you would think being a shrink wrap type pouch it would do it! But sounds like you've done ok. OPT
