i was wondering if any one could tell me how to messure chain slack on my quad i think the chain is to tight and dont know how to messure chain slack

3/8" to 1/2" slack from top middle of the chain with NO weight on machine(center of sprockets) DON'T adjust as some of the manuals still have the old way of collapsing the rear end and adjusting!Will be too loose! With the concentric drive since about 1996 the swing arm pivot is even with the drive sprocket and less suspension stress on the chain, allowing tighter chain adjustment OPT

It's not scientific, but on my old boss, if I could lift the chain more than the width of my index finger, I would tighten it.

Then again, it just so happens (yes I just measured) my finger is just a tad over 1/2" wide.
