98 polaris sports man 500 wont shift from low to high

Post 98 polaris sports man 500 wont shift from low to high

hi just need some input to find out whats wrong with my 4wheeler. i got a 1998 sports 500 4x4 auot trans low range of tranny works fine but cant get high range to work it goes into high range but wont go any faster than 25 mph i new the 4wheeler world just need help ty

If you don't have a shifting problem and goes into gear ok,(lot of the older ones didn't because of shift box wear)then it might be time to check into the clutch area for a worn belt or worn clutch parts. Look under "drive" and "driven" clutches under your model and see what's involved. Could be just the belt or clutch buttons,etc. Browse OPT
