Default Tie rod lengths??!!

Ok, I purchased an old 1995 Polaris 250 Trail Boss. It was in bad shape. I rebuilt the engine and everything else. It runs great and so on. Here is my issue, my handle bars and right wheel point perfectly strait. The left wheel points Way to the left. The left tie rod is adjust to the maximum setting, so i can turn it back in. I have a funny feeling that the left tie rod is too long. Are the left and right tie rode different lengths? Maybe the last owner put a longer right tie rod on the right side. What do you guts think? Any experiences?

Tie rods are the same length unless previous owner swapped one from a different machine. You can loosen the tie rod lock nuts and and the rod has a 3/8" flat spot to adjust with a wrench. OPT

Do you know how long they are soposed to be. They measure a foot long each. This includes the threaded areas

No,don't know the actual length, never put a tape measure to em,BUT sounds about right. Different models do have different lengths and diameter shafts.Look here under your model and will show the shaft # itself along with the tie rod ends that's supposed to be on your 95 Trail Boss. Browse OPT

Default tie rods

i used a thin cuttin wheel on a 4 inch grinder then chased the remaining threads pretty sure if my memory serves me that its a standard fine thread thats found in a basic tap and die set. i pondered it long and well lol befor i decided to do it , but it turned out fine ,problem solved. i took off bout three eights to a half inch on each rod ended up with plenty of adjustment
