05 blazer 250 - help me identify wires please
recent purchase -- electric start problems
facts:
lights come on when ignition key turned on
bike will pull start only - with or without ignition key in BUT switches on left handle bar have to be in correct position to start.
checked power at starter - all good. (but negative bracket is not connected @ starter)
battery is dead but I am working with jump kit.
when running - will not power lights on it's own. ut lights work fine with battery power
starter button when pushed (no sound)
Elec starter not working - someone disconnected some stuff
please look at yours "anyone" and tell me where these wires connect to.

Someone try to steal this machine?Sounds like someone tried to bypass the ignition switch?? Looks like the blue/white is a clear cut wire. First off you need a good battery to begin tracing down the damage. Starter negative bracket? I guess you mean the starter mounting bracket is missing? as the starter is already grounded by the internal bolts holding it in the recoil housing. This is one where you need to get a manual and use the schematic diagram to patch this wiring back. You can find pdf manuals as low as 5 bucks online for this Trail Blazer rather than trying to guess at the wiring. If someone has a manual on this model hopefully they can send you the schematic. Not trying to be harsh, but I had enough trouble when I had one to work on in person that people would drag in to the shop! It's even harder to do it over the internet, especially since I don't have the diagram for this year model.PLUS you can check the "sticky" post in the section below this on free manuals to see if this listing is still active. This is the cheapest hard back manual I could find and about half what a dealer would charge! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Polaris-2004...a22ee6&vxp=mtr OPT

Think I figured it out - the manual just has a wire schematic - and i suck at reading wiring schematics
but
as I was perusing ebay, I realized that people take really good pics of stuff they are trying to sell...
like wiring harnesses - that still have the correct ends
and parts like cdi's relays etc, which have correct ends.
so - think I can do it.
What would be nice is if someone posted a pic of under the hood of their trailblazer.
That would make all the difference here.

Starter bracket bolts are 6mm x1.0 thread pitch. About 3/8" long. This link shows the bracket and screws. Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse Shows the bracket and the screws. OPT
