I tried that also. It still will not idle at all, shuts right off!

You just have reply under your post, not make a new one each time. Take the throttle cap off and my sure those contacts are not touching by eye.

You don't have to make 3 separate posts on the same subject! Just go to the bottom of this page and hit post reply! Simple things first on the atv. Since you say the throttle is adjusted about to 1/8" slack at the thumb throttle and all you did was to clean the pilot jet,are you sure the jets are tight, did you make sure the slide needle is properly in place, plus have you simply tried to adjust the idle with the adjuster? http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...2006&fveh=7115 Item # 16. If none of this helps,it sounds like something somewhere in the carb isn't right after you put it back together, since you said it idled good before?.

I am new to this site so thanx for the etiquette lesson! I've already tried everything you suggested to no avail. I guess I'll have to pull the carb back off and start over again. something tells me it's the floats. Or maybe I put the jets in the wrong spot. In other words, human error! Thanx for your help and I'll let you know what I find!
