fuel pump issues ?

Default fuel pump issues ?

i believe my fuel pump is going out but im not for sure! my pressure is down to 20 psi and im only getting 6.9 volts to the pump , is the 6.9 volts suffiecent enough to run the pump or what ? that voltage reading is with just the key on

Manual says that at the pump the electrical connector should show between 7 to 14 volts. If the voltage shows less than 7 clean the connector,plug back in and turn key off and on a couple times to see if pump then primes up. If it doesn't, check that the battery is not the problem first by having it load tested.If battery is eliminated as a problem or replaced and it still shows less than 39psi,the pump needs to be replaced.

ok i re checked the voltage at pump harness and im only getting 3.5 volta at pump ! could this be a ecm problem again ? 04.5 polaris sportsman 700 efi ! how do i test the solid state relay ?

i just took it back to dealer and let put digital wrench on it ! will reply back with results

ok it was a faulty fuel pump ! i was getting the low voltage cause the pump would only come on to prime it and then shut off . i shouldve been checking it right as soon as i turned the key on

Yes,then you could have caught the voltage drop. Dealers have replacement pumps now and you don't have to replace the whole fuel tank,but if you are planning to replace the pump yourself and save a little money,Airtex pumps at Autozone and Napa are what a lot of people on the forum have said that works.Airtex Master/Fuel Pump (E8198) | AutoZone.com
