Well i didnt get the 400 sportsman. i wound up with a 2000 trail boss 325.it runs realy strong. got it for 800. It came with title and owners.manule. are these fairly good atv. will haft to do some paint on the plastic

Good machines.Main complaint was a little noisy going into gear ,but normal for a Trail Boss.
Make sure you have the updated screw on oil lines at the oil filter area on this first year model.

I had that same model. Mechincally, it was just keep up with the routine maintenance and you'll be fine. Physically, it had some sort of warped attraction to trees.
