yes on both! You need to down load this manual! It's just like the one I had at the shop.http://gh-ftp.com/ORV%20Manuals/Pola...0All%20Models/ Plus look at these videos on Mikuni carbs!

Otp, do you think I could use my spark plug to tell me if I'm running to rich? Should it be dry and smell like gas whenever I pull it?

I kind of want to expose more than 5/8" of threads of the adjuster just to be on the safe side, but I also don't want to sacrifice my quads perfomance. What is your opinion on it?

Turn you oil pump adjuster up to show about 3/4 inch threads if you're concerned about enough oil and don't want to pull the front plate off to check the alignment marks. The plug electrode should be a tan to medium tan if you've been running it hard and then check it. If you're just putting around,of course the plug will be a little dark and wet.

Default 94 400l rebuilt

Hey guys I'm new to this well I've used a lot of your information u guys have posted. Well I got a polaris 400l 94 just rebuilt have 6 hours on it. And have a problem seems like she's loading up at idol and I'm following spark plugs. Its it possible for the oil injection to be going bad ? Does this happen. Is there a carb problem? Could I have a bad seal and counter bal oil is leacking into jug thanks for your time guys Steve

Most of the time it's gas not oil that's fouling plugs, but people blame it on oil. Needle and seats are the most common problem. Plenty of cheap carb kits on Ebay.Try that first..Carb Rebuild Repair Kit Polaris Sportsman 400 4WD 94 95 96 4x4 | eBay

Just have the vent hose routed down to where in case any liquid does come out it doesn't splatter on the clutch cover.Doesn't usually hurt to go over a little. I've done it a few times myself..
