Default 98 xplorer 400 head gasket?

I have a 98 polaris xploere 400 with multiple issues. After a weekend of trail riding I have a heat light that comes on. The coolant fan will run. The coolant was low added coolant. The wheeler is blowing white smoke (bad)that will hang on the ground for a few minutes, also the unit is fouling the plug. Logic tells me that the coolant is getting the cylinder. I would love some advice or if there is any other way to test the system

Open the bleed screw on the back of the head, any trapped air will bubble out. When nothing but coolant flows out, close the bleed screw and top off the radiator and overflow bottle. If the hot light continues to come on,and still a lot of white smoke is present, then very well possible you could have a blown head gasket. Another way to tell is have a radiator pressure/vacuum gauge to see if it's holding at at least 10psi for 5 minutes with no leak down.
