Well here we go again, the mechanic installed the 33 ohm resistor, found that one of the wires had rubbed on the cylinder, turned machine on and it picked up the hot, but would not turn off, installed the 3rd ECM, and now it is back to not picking up the hot and shut bike off, turn on key, fan starts and hot flashing goes away, fan does not turn off. he wonders why when running the radiator is cold except where the 2 lines come in and go out, it is so hot you cannot keep your hand on it. He had put Teflon tape on the thermistor plug? Is that a problem? He is going to take the thermistor, thermostat and radiator off, clean them all and then install nad see what goes on.

 

Think he's still got a wiring short somewhere or the thermistor could be shorted out triggering the fan to run constantly.Teflon tape shouldn't hurt anything.Radiator problem could still be trapped air,plus a pressure test on the cooling system(must hold 10psi) is something else I'd do.This can tell if you have any air/coolant seepage in the cooling system and the engine gaskets also. Plus doesn't happen often,if you haven't checked the w/p impeller I'd do that for damage to the plastic vanes or slipping on the shaft.
