Thank you. I have already replaced the ignition on this atv and it seems to be working fine. Do you know if the crankshaft kit comes with a new ball bearing

Before I put my engine back together, do you think my camshaft journals are in good enough shape? The middle one looks the worst.

 

Just use some light emory cloth or steel wool to clean up the engine case where the cam rides and make sure you lube the cam journals thoroughly when you install it. I've cleaned up scored cases like this. It's just machined aluminum and will wear a little versus the hardened journals of the cam shaft. Just use a good grade of synthetic oil and keep up with regular oil and filter changes.

 

Where did you find a crank for $660? My 700 has also has also tanked, because of the crank shaft.

The place I ordered the crankshaft from (partspitstop.com) informed me today that the part is on back order from the polaris supply chain. They dont know how long it will be before they can get it from polaris. I was wondering if you knew of anywhere that would have them in stock?

i finally got a crank shaft and put my engine back together. When i start it, it starts right up, but the engine will rev up then rev down then back up again, unless i pull the choke out, then it almost sounds right. I was thinking it was something to do with the carburetor. I put a rebuilt kit into it so all the jets and needles are new.
