Hey. I'm back. Had a questions about compatible engines (Mounting) for a 250 trailblazer 2003. I think I have a bad bearing in the crank, it knocks at 2ooo rpms and higher, even in neutral. Regardless of the exact issue, I need to tear down and rebuild. I am looking into buying another engine for a spare when doing tear downs, and need to know what 250 or 330 will drop in, and if my transmission is compatible. I really don't care what year it is as long as it drops in. thanks in advance for any help.

 

Almost all the 250 engines from 89 on up will drop in.Major differences between the years was in electronics.
