I have a 1991 polaris 250 trail boss 2 cycle 4x4 and I broke the pull start cord can anybody tell me how to fix it?????????

 

Take the (4) 10mm bolts off the recoil housing. Push the new rope assy through the housing to the reel and secure the rope end.Let the excess rope and handle dangle from the cover.Push the cover in place and turn the cover clockwise until the excess rope and handle bottom out on the cover wrapping around the reel. Turn clockwise about 3 more turns to wind the spring,hold the cover in place,replace the 4 bolts.

 

thanks for the help so far I was in the hospital and my grandson lost the 10 mm bolts can anybody tell me the thred size so I can get some new ones

 

When I said 10mm was referring to the bolt head size. Bolts are actually 6 mm diameter by 1.25 pitch x 25-30 mm in length if I remember correctly.
