Hi, thanks for replies! I do have buttons in secondary along with helix. Helix had some grooving which i did clean up. I also purchased new buttons. This all after that video.
I will look at replacing that belt based on your recommendation OPT. Thank you.

Kev, all these problems have happened since i replaced my Cam and exhaust rocker. I am still hesitant that i have a timing issue. I am going to pull cover and do a final check on timing. I got a bit confused by multiple marks on flywheel. There is one single mark and there are three others just ahead. I assume they are for using a light?

When i was saying about the bit of back spray that is what made me think i still had a timing issue as exhaust would be escaping at wrong time of piston stroke coming back through carb. This could also mean a valve is not seating correctly, right?

I figured the secondary clutch should be able to be stopped quite easily while in neutral and mine was not. It is much easier since i cleaned it up but i am yet to try it with new buttons and belt. What should this oem belt cost approx?

I really hope I can fix this with these tips. If this fails i guess i will have to pull head and check valve seats and see if i have an issue with those. Dying to get on the trails. Made little fella bunch of promises for trips fishing on bike. grrr. all i can do is try. thanks guys.

You can find the oem belt from $58 to $66 on several places online, but didn't look at shipping costs. Best if possible to find one local if you can. Yes with the oem belt you should be able to stop the rear clutch with your foot while in neutral.

They want over a 100 bucks for the belt locally. Unless the guy gave me an incorrect price i will prob buy online. Do you guys know much about Gates belts? Apparently they are the OE for Polaris belts? I found one on amazon for 36 bucks. Just want to verify i am getting the exact match OPT referenced.

Amazon.com: Gates 20G4022 G-Force Recreational Belt: Automotive Amazon.com: Gates 20G4022 G-Force Recreational Belt: Automotive

I think i may be able to get them locally at NAPA. going to look into it tomorrow.

Here is Gates belt specs...

I would stick with the OEM belt to be on the safe side. I know they work.

I called the dealer back. It is 81.99 plus tax. by the time i calculate shipping it is probably worth it to buy local. Just for curiosity, this is the belt with the grooves on inside and outside? Can someone briefly explain to me how that would be the NON-EBS belt vs the belt with grooves only on inside is the EBS belt?

Main difference is the width and length versus the ebs belt you have. The ebs belt you already have is way too tight.. Just get the 3211077 belt and you'll see the difference. Don't go after any after market equivalents to the oem Polaris belt or it could end up as you have it now. The smaller grooves on the ebs belts are supposed to align with the grooves on the one way bearing on the ebs clutches.

These guys sell the Polaris 3211077 for $49.73 Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse That's total cart price I think.

The 3211069 is the EBS version.

I tried a after market Goodyear Gator Back and the just had a slight slip that my OEM never had, so I took it back.

That is the price of the belt. They will ship that belt to canada for $12. I've ordered from them before.... Check out their site and send them an email to see for sure.... They sell Pure Polaris parts, the same as you get from the dealership!

So when i took apart secondary last night to replace the buttons i noticed some fairly black rub marks on sheave. this was cleaned spotless less than a week ago and i only drove it down driveway and back. The rubbing was deep also right on the sides of basket.

This kinda scares me that the primary was trying to turn but like originally posted it was going up against strong resistance. Scares me it may be High gear bearing in tranny.

I am still going to do all the clutch work and get the right belt but i am worried.
