Oh.. My bad In this case look at the "sticky" post above this section on 700/800 efi problems. Could be as simple as one of the small tbap sensor wires chaffed or connector problem. You can wiggle the sensor harness along with the tps sensor harness and see if engine idle changes or affects it in any way.Originator of the sticky post offers better repair kits if needed than what Polaris offered. Wish I had em for all the ones I had to replace on this.Plus erratic problems may or may not throw codes..Only The Best

I ran the codes and came up with code 22, the tps, now how can i tell if its harness or sensor?
Those sensors are pricey.

Turns out it was the TPS position as well as the idle set screw or whatever you want to call it. i first set the TPS to the correct voltage and then went to the screw. I tried .710 and it was idling too high. Since neither the .710 or .660 were listed for the 04, i tried the .660. It seems to idle great there and the throttle does not stick anymore. Thanks for the tips everyone!

As far as my EBS.... well it almost seems like it kind of grabs but not all the time. I did replace the belt. The belt at idle seems to be about perfectly between the two side, yet the secondary still spins. The bike shifts fine and does not creep. I am kind of considering leaving it go because it seemed to ride fine.

Possible that the previous owner tampered with the tps setting. Had a lot of that happen at the shop with people that didn't know what they were doing. Initial setting on tps sensor should be .528 vdc with throttle cable loose,no pull on the throttle valve. Once that's set, adjust cable to where there is just a tad of slack at the thumb lever, then you can use the idle adjust screw to set the final adjustment. Yes the manual calls for 710 vdc as the final throttle setting, but I've had to lower final settings also for machines as they got older below this point because of too high of an idle. Glad you have it running ok now.
