I have a 91 Polaris Trailboss 250 2x4.

I am rebuilding my brake. I bought a rebuild kit to do the Rear caliper.

How do i get the large washer/seal into the back groove. There is only limited space the size of my pinkie. Is there a special tool.

I have tied for 3 days now with no success.

The front groove is no problem.

 

I can post pictures if needed.

 

 

Have to coat the bore and seal with brake fluid and stuff the seal in. Work one small section at a time around into the groove.Not a lot of fun,but you can do it. Small picks can help also if you're careful.

I tried for 3 nights. With no luck. Finally today I figured out a way.
I pushed the pin in from the bottom. Stuffed the cylinder with paper towel pieces up to the groove. Then got the seal particularly in and stuffed paper on that side forcing it to stay in the groove. Keep doing that until I was 3/4 the way around. Then using a flat screw driver I was able to get the last section in. Pushed the pin back out and then use needle nose pliers to remove the paper towel pieces. Hope this helps someone else.
