I have seen only a handful of slides cause issues in 20 plus years. Could be on yours though.

Is this the machine you did the video on? Covering the air intake snorkel?

IF it is running rich, IF that is, spraying it with starting fluid, would just make it richer and may not lead us in the right direction, other than it pretty much tells us you dont need more fuel.

Do you have smaller main by chance? And if so would you be willing to try it? I know you dont think it's the problem, but it is cheaper than a slide or the ignition system.

No I did not make a video. I do not have a different jet but will order one if you think it is a possibility. Do you have any idea as to part numbers? Could I just look on eBay for a mukini main jet or are there various mukini jet designs? The diaphragm on the slide looks fine and the slide moves freely. Someone suggested going to a number 160 main jet which I assume is larger that the stock 155 that is in it.

Going bigger I think is wrong, you said you sprayed starting fluid in it right, well that just "jetted" it bigger, and your outcome was no difference.

I'll send a PM with my phone number at work, I'll see if I have one(probably do) and send it to you if you like.

I put a vacuum gauge on the fitting where the fuel pump connects and it fluctuates violently.....is that normal? seems it would be as the fuel pump diaphragm moves back and forth to pump fuel. I am running out of ideas. Bypassed the fuel selector by running fuel line directly from tank to fuel pump and no difference. Cant decide if i should pursue the carburetion or electrical route to fix this problem.

After looking at this, maybe you do need the kit. Black to ground says to have "No connection" not 0.Black to red 360-410.

ELISHA, do you have an inductive-pickup timing light? I suspect your spark is quitting at higher RPM.

I am working on a Suzuki with those symptoms right now. I also like to test pickup coil and AC charge coil with
an AC voltmeter while cranking engine. Does your manual have a spec for the AC voltage expected at each?
