Default Knocking noise in drive line on 03 330 trail boss

03 trail boss 330. When going forward it has a knocking sound. The faster I go the faster the knocking sound is. Only does it when in gear and in motion. Does not make the sound coasting unless I put a little throttle in. I've seen a video of a different Polaris have the same noise but the belt was on the back instead of on the left side. Wh
at is causing the noise. When I put my hand on the transmission while making the noise there really isn't much of a vibration from it. Could it be the belt or is it the drive chain

Welcome to the forums.

Take the belt cover off and inspect that. A belt that is fraying would make the noise you're describing.

Not sure if they still had the plastic chain guard on the 330's, but there was one on my 325. Mine would rub on it, but wouldn't make the noise you're describing. See if it may be rubbing/hitting anything else.

I have took off the plastic chain guard and it still makes the same sound. I have looked on other forums and some have similar problems. I intend to look at the belt this weekend. Thank you for your feedback
