Default Air Filter Concern

I took the advice of someone on another forum and purchased a TaskForce 1/4" swivel ratchet from Lowes ($10.99) to attach the hose clamp to my filter (works as advertised). If you don't want to purchase the wrench; at least do this; which I should have been doing from day one...with the filter in your hand and unattached....slowly tighten the clamp around the filter until you get a better fit than obviously the dangling state that you found it in when opening up the box for the first time.

Push the filter on for a nice tight(er) fit....done.

So that is sure some good info. Seems one should keep that tool in the onboard kit.

Default Air Filter Concern

I just had the update installed on my new (2 weeks) RZR the mechanic installed the clamp on my K&N filter with a small air ratchet. I hope this update works as I got a lot of dust in my airbox. I also have a loud clicking noise coming from the front outer axel drivers side dealer has ordered a new one, has anyone else had similar problems?

Default Air Filter Concern

My friend worked on the dirty airbox problem this weekend on our RZR's. What we found was that the chamber behind the seats is poorly sealed! You have to take the bed off to get to the air chamber. There are 2 tubes in this chamber that were not sealed very well letting dirty engine/rear wheel air to enter. This dirt then gets sucked into the airbox and the CVT. What we did was remove this air chamber and put weather stripping around the tubes and then reinstall the air chamber. We also purchase UNI foam air filters; haven't had time to go for a ride now to check it out, but am pretty confident that this was the problem. :-)
