How big of a winch would you all recommend for a Ranger? I'm a little heavy with a hard cab (and a fat ***). I'd like to hear a few more reviews on some of the brands.
Thanks

We have Polaris winches and they match Warn specs head on. On our Outlander XT we had the Warn 2.5 contactor go bad on us and we replaced it with a Polaris 3500 winch. Pulls a lot nicer and we haven't had a problem with it. Plus it was $100 cheaper than Warn.

I bought a Viper MX4000. It was pretty easy to install except I got the wireless switch so I had a lot of extra parts; that slowed me down a little but a phone call to tech support straightened me right out. The wireless switch was almost worth the price just because it makes it a lot easier to wire up. You only hook the 4 large cables to the battery and winch. You don't have to break into the vehicle wiring, which probably isn't that difficult. Anybody need a contactor with wired remote and handlebar switch?
