I've just bought a used 2005 ranger 4x4. It is in excellent shape. The previous owner told me he had to push the gas pedal everytime while cranking it. Is this common? It won't start unless i do this. Sometimes i wonder if it is even going to start. Once it starts, it runs great. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

 

Could be loading up with fuel from needle and seat wear,just one thing to check. Also when was serviced ,new plug,air filter,valves checked?
