Finally got it going last night after work. I have seriously gone through this whole thing. You name it i've touched it. Now it is idling on its own and sounds solid through the gas curve. I am so proud of myself. I feel as if he helped me through this. Now I have to wait for GE Money to give me what they think it is worth. I hope they dont think it is worth too much. Worst case scenerio someone steals it and I never see it again.....right?

Are you considering insurance fraud? Or do you want to keep it? I'm a little lost.

I'm sorry you lost your brother though.

 

There is no insurance on this. Thus no fraud. I know a lot of people who saw this come out and how i may not be able to swing the large $11000 still owed on this. If i dont have it they cannot repo it. I work with law enforcement. I would never break that.

 

You may want to consider taking over the note or working with the lender if you wish to have something of your brothers. I would also insure it. It would cost you a couple of hundred a year and save your butt when something even close to this happens to it.

 

Gary, I am very much going to work with them. I have already started in that direction. I just dont want to get stuck with the whole note.

 

My attorney has advised me that no finance company will repo a sunken vehicle. Also, I got all the oils changed out last night ($115 yikes). This gave me the chance to run it again. Got it upto around 35-40. Too afraid to hit it hard yet. Still blowing some smoke and stuff. It idles around 3000. What is up with that? Before going in the lake it idled around 1800 er something. Any suggestions?

 

I found out why it was idling so fast. We are still in the lower 20's here in MI. When i pulled it out of my garage some water that is still remaining in places froze and would not allow the cable to work properly. The butterfly in the throttle body was also freezing up.
