Razor locked up/overheat
#1
Was riding razor and when i slowed and came to a complete stop and went to take off again and it locked up. Does the engine break lock up when it overheats? After i let it set for 30 minutes it rolls fine. Had a hot light come on yesterday after 2mile run @25mph. I sprayed the rad out and the hot light never came back on. I did notice that some coolant was coming out of the vent lines after i killed it. Todays problem occured after about 10miles of riding @25mph. Fan is working good, rad is full of coolant, oil level is good, and i am clueless. Thanks for any advice.

I personally think you where out mud riding. Your overheating problem would be the rad is plugged with mud because you didn't wash it out after your mud adventure and the milky oil is also water and mud, gees you must have gone deep enough because I've sank mine in a swamp before and didn't have milky diff oils. Sounds like fun anyway. If the temp light came on and you kept riding yes the coolant will spill out of the reservoir and the lock up was probably your engine seizing up after you didn't stop when overheating BAD news mister. The reason why it started again is because there nikisil sleeves and luck you most likely got severe engine damage. Hope you have warranty mang. Good luck chum.

Actually its my brothers and he just traded a 383 z28 for it. No he wasnt doing anything wrong but the previous owner obviously was. The rear seal on the differential leaked causing the tar like stuff and the transmission was working overtime due to that. Was looking for any tran advice but thanks for putting me down. Is that where you wanna be when jesus comes back.
