I have a 2009 Razor manufacture 4/09 and it has the new 3 clip larger diameter filter box with the larger diameter filter. It does not have a foam prefilter. I local Polaris dealer was telling me this is the third filter design and they are not having any problems with it. SO, are you people with the newer Razors happy with this new filter??? Is it working out ok???

 

Just an update. I have about 136 miles on the 09 razor and I pulled the cover off the filter can today. A small amount of dust inside the can but outside the filter which I would expect.

I pulled the filter and the inside of the filter was clean and the inside of the tube/hose going to the carb was very clean. So far so good.
