Question Loading a RZR

I am wondering if the tail gate cables on my 2009 Chevy will be strong enough to support the weight of RZR. I will be using aluminum ramps like this:

yes they will, but put a jack under the rear of the rzr (in the bed of the truck) to relieve some of the weight on the tailgate when transporting. this way it will keep your tailgate from getting damaged.

It should. I put my Sportsman X2 (700 lbs. or so with winch) and my 350 lbs. without any problems. Of course that's just loading and unloading.

This is a long bed truck, 8 foot long. I was thinking it would fit all the way in and I would be able to shut the tail gate.

It won't fit. I think the RZR is 102" long. 8' is 96" long. So, it's 8'6" long and will be sticking out of the bed. It may get all four tires in the bed though. You, just won't be able to close the tailgate from what I can see.

you will have to remove the tailgate, but it will work. i have a rzr s and load it in a short box once in awhile.

How do you fit a 60+" wide S in a pickup bed? I guess you roll it over the wheel wells. Must not be particularly fun getting it in there.

Actually its not bad at all. It goes up and over easily. I usually load mine in AWD mode.

That’s good to know. I was looking at getting a RZR and really liked the s models but did not think it would fit in the back of my GMC short box.
thought I was going to have to go with the regular RZR. I want to still be able to tow my travel trailer with the RZR in the back of the truck. I already figured out moving the propane tanks to the back of the trailer so I can still turn with the tail gate open.

Why go pay 10K on a toy and not get a 1K trailer to properly and safely transport said toy?
