2008 ranger xp 700 runs bad after 3 1/2 hours
#1
Hi, we have a 2008 ranger and we love it , but after 3 or 3 1/2 hour of riding it starts dying, not totally, if you feather the throttle it comes back. We always know when it is about to happen because we smell gas fumes. No leaks though. Someone suggested fuel pump so i did put a fuel pressure gauge under the seat and when it is cold it reads 38, but when we start smelling the fumes and it starts acting up it drops to 32 . I would think fuel pump would not cause gas fumes though. Any ideas would be apreciated, hate to start throwing parts at it, did that with my 2003 ford 6.0 diesel powerstroke to the tune of $6k.
