RZR 570 insight
Hi everyone,
Been thinking of selling my wifie '11 SP XP 550 Touring...in favor of a new '13 RZR 570. We only trail ride...and do light to moderate trails at that. No mudding...unless passing it on the trails.
So...what is the good and bad of the RZR 570? Reliable? Any experiences and insight is truly appreciated!
Thanks.

No experience on that, but for the price it seems like a worthwhile investment to go up to the 800. And finding a good used one for less wouldn't be that hard to do.
More weight from a bigger machine and the combination of two people riding instead of one may make the 570 seem weak compared to what you're used to with the old sportsman.

Thought about the RZR 800, but think that is probably to much engine for the wifie. This will be her trail machine...with one of our young kids as passenger. Not worried about top end speed...or any of that.
Will keep it stock...and just for weekend rides on forest service roads mostly. But...still need to keep the 50" width...for those necessary trails.
I'm keeping my '11 SP 850 XP Touring.
So...what I am looking at is the RZR 570 EPS Trail LE. Both our Tourings have the PS...and that is a nice feature to keep for the new machine.
Any...input is appreciated!
Thanks!

the 800 really isnt a power house i dont think.( i own one) its an old school push rod engine and the 800 rzr weighs around 1,000lbs i believe. with 55hp it runs alright but top speed is around 55mph-sometimes hit 60mph. the 570 is much more advanced and will run with an 800 all day on trails. it outruns a tyrex 750 up to 35mph so the 570 has excellant low end for what it is. Its also based off of polaris' 900xp rzr. Most people cant believe the 570 has the power it has but truthfully its not more powerful, its built and designed to put what power it has to the ground. The 570 transmission is a little more advanced than the 800 so it feels more powerful. the 570 has 45hp and from what ive read or heard, there were some problems with the engine so id do some research b/c there has been a few blown motors with hardly any miles on them. good luck!
My opinion would be to get the 800,its more proven and more accessories if you ever wanted them.

Yeah...the 570 has a good reputation from those that own them. At least...that is what I am reading.
Nothing wrong with the 800...except that it is "old" tech...and I prefer on a new machine to have a more modern setup.
This thread has turned out to have really good info! Thanks everyone...

We have a 2012 RZR 570 and it's great. We took it to Colorado and beat the hell out of it on some pretty gnarly trails. It performs well in sand dunes also. It is just as fast as the RZR 800 because the transmission is modeled after the 900 XP giving more power to the wheels as well as the engine being DOHC. It has 800 miles on it now and I have no complaints. The gas mileage is unbelievable, I can get 80-100 miles (Kansas County Road) to a tank. The only problems with the motor blowing was a connecting rod issue and I believe they've got that sorted out.
