Big bores and the heat problems they create..

 

Polaris isn't the only one that has high hp engines though, Can-Am has high hp big bores and they don't seem to have these issues. Or at least the problem isn't as severe or as well known. I guess too when you're the sales leader like Polaris is, you will have more recalls as well. I'm sure they're trying to address the problem, this is more bad publicity that they really don't want.

 

My legs get no more or less hot than they did on the 650, 500, or other machines I've been on. It's still, "I wouldn't ride in shorts", hot but not so hot the plastics are melting. Haven't seen any issues with my son, Moose One's, 2016 Polaris Scrambler XP1000.
