2005 6x6...would the air control valve that is part of the speed control system make the ranger run like crap?

I have changed everything electrical that I can think of. I'm lucky that I have a parts machine for this.

Runs but once you give it gas, it runs bad, smokes and plug covered in gas, not burning it.

only reason I think it may be this valve is that I unhooked it while it was running, and I did notice a small change.

I really need some help with this
