Wow, lots of questions...here goes. I like almost everything about it!! My only complaints are the gap in the plastic between the seat and gas tank. When I first got it, I got a couple scars on my knees from handlebar plants...but I'm getting pretty used to avoiding it now! It's top speed is 73mph stock, but for track and trail, most will want to gear it down as polaris put high gearing in it to make it appear faster on top than other quads. It will still have herendous acceleration though!! I've owned mine almost 6 months now and have had no reliability problems, other then my rollover...my bad! I've already put close to 40 hours on it and it hasn't let me down...very reliable. The suspension is great. It is a little still at slow speeds, but it really shines above 25 mph. But to find out more, just go to a polaris dealer and let him know how interested you are and get him to let you test ride...it's the best way to find out if you are compatable with this sweet machine!!

I've had mine for about 3 weeks now!
I totally love it. I have done a bit of trail riding and some duning with it.
It soaked up alot of the woops and bumps in the trails with ease, and the acceleration was awesome for the dunes. It wheelies really easy and has a good balancing point. The rear grab bar is kinda weak, though(flag mount bent). The only thing I wish it had was reverse
But then again... if you go fast enough forward, who needs to go back?

I've had mine about 3 weeks too. I've only been to the gravel pit with it, but had a blast there. This weekend I am taking it on some trails and am curious to see how different the experiance will be (previously, I've only been on trails on a utility).
So far, I am very pleased with it. It's very easy to handle and has a lot of power.

With the nice weather only arriving here in Canada within the last 2-3 weeks, I only have about 15 hours on it. I rec'd mine in December. I can say that it has an explosive midrange and an excellent suspesion. No durability problems yet. I'm very pleased with it.

I have had mine since december and i love it. I working on getting in ready for harescrambles and cross country. Its by far the most stable four wheeler i have ever rode. It climbs hills well, keeps the front tired on the ground very good. Some people complain about them popping at high rpm but mine doesnt do it at all, but i have a white borter exhuast and air force kit which no one likes, but it made my bike run really well. I alos have a bigger back sprocket. I just ordered beadlocks for it and planning on going with elka shocks.

This ATV is a bunch of fun! I rode a 400EX prior and this Predator is in a league of it's own. Obviously it eats the 400EX and Z400 alive. My friend has a new Z400 and the mid-range power of the Predator just blows it away. In the sand you must have the right tires or the power will dig you down. I just bought the WB pipe and Air Force kit based on the dyno results and Superbike's reputation. Hopefully this will give me more power at lower RPMs. Lately I have heard bad things so I was happy to see that bullgod experienced no problems. I know it's risky buying a first year production, but I have had no problems after 60 hours of hard riding. Oh and the bump steer technology really works on the rough trail rides. Later.

What about the "have to"? What are the things that were overlooked by Polaris. I just sold my Banshee and am looking into getting a Predator. I remeber hearing a couple of things like, readjusting vent hoses, engine popping, brake problems, seat/airbox configuration, 13 tooth sprocket, etc..... Can anyone give a complete list of the "must or should do's". I tried to do a search for that topic on here and haven't found much.

Alot depends on your riding preferences and the terrain you're on. I ride steep rocky mountain trails, there is little opportunity to go wide open. Everyone will have their own opinions on this matter, but here are mine.
I recommend gearing it down. 14/37 stock is way too tall for me, so I dropped to 13/39. I really like the way it goes now. I'm able to use 2nd and 3rd more like I should, rather than riding around in 1st.
If you ride in the mud, those Razr's are not good for that. I put ITP Blackwaters on the back, and man what a difference. I also put 23 inch Kenda Claws on the front. This gives me just a little more clearance in the front and middle. Not as important as the new ones in the back, but still helps.
I also put nerf bars on mine. If nothing else, it makes it seem safer. I've had sticks and rocks hit the netting, which kept them from hitting me.
I also bought the clamp on K/N filter with the waterproof outerwears, but I haven't put em on yet. You can ask Heapster about those, he's done it.
I also put hand and thumb warmers on. They really come in handy when it's chilly.
I can't see where you could go wrong with the Predator. It's my first sport quad. I had a Scrambler before, and I really loved it, but needed something that could take the rough stuff down in Tennessee. I think I've found it. It really is an awesome machine. I think it's built real well. It is not wheelie prone, which is good for me. But it does them if you want to. With these new tires, it climbs hills very well. It has so much power. It could use a little more low end power, and the gearing will help that. They say the new pipe will wake it up, but I don't need that. You will need to play with the suspension settings alot. I've finally gotten mine just about where I like it. Some guys have gotten the front reservoirs for the front, and they say it makes a big difference.
I'm just ramblin now. It's hard not to get excited talking about my Pred....Hope any of this helps.
