Default Tire size.. shape

Hi All,

New to the forum.. looks like a good group here ! Very civil... not like some boards that just have my bike is better than your bike topics etc :-)

Anyway, I have a 98 SP 500 and am thinking about some new tires... at least for the rear... Does anyone know what the stock tire size should be for this year model... I understand they changed the tire/rim size on the new SP's ???

I bought this used and I'm not sure the current tires are of stock size... and I would like to make sure I buy according to the mfg specifications or very close to that....

Also, I have been considering the Titan 589 MT or maybe mud lites... anyone have a recommendation for use on hardpack and snow ???

Thanks and again.. looks like a good group here !

Stock size was probably 25x11x10 (ODxWxID). I just put 27x12x12 mudlites / C-series al rims on but have not really had a chance to try them. They replaced 26x12x10 589 M/S whick I liked. But think the M/T is better but do not think it comes in that size. You will get a little more vibration at low speed with about all the more aggressive treads.
