Default oil in my air box

I was installing a new air filter today and I noticed oil in the bottom of my air box, it was not very much but the drain tube was almost full. I talked my dealer about this he explained that if you do alot of climbing with it some oil might flow out of the crank case line, which goes inside the air box. was woundering if anybody has ever seen this ?

I have heard of that problem and have also heard of people re-routing or putting a longer tube in it's place.

I'm not sure what quad you are refering to, but also if you put it on it's tail for maintance/cleaning you could get oil in there. Also, like you dealer stated, hill climbing will do it too. It's happened to me on my Predator from putting it on its tail, not very much so I wasn't concerned with it. I always check my oil before riding anyway, and it hasn't changed enough to add any between oil changes.

Also another thought, be sure that you don't have it over-full either. It could be pulling the excess through your vent tubing.

Then it just gets everywhere! But you can use the gas the leaks all over the place to break it down and wipe it up!!

That happens to my Scrambler as well. It's especially bad when my quad doesn't come to a stop on it's wheels from a roll.

I had the same problem with my trail boss a while back. As it turned out it was transmission oil. I overfilled the tranny when I changed the fluid. There is a hose that runs from the air box down to the tranny. After I drained some fluid from the tranny everything was fine.
