I took my bulb housing out the other day on my 02. I would think the bulb would just pull out (I did not try it). It is very easy to take it out of the head light. I would try to take yours out before paying that much for the whole thing.

The bulb itself can come out. I took mine out and with some modifications replaced them with the Cool blue bulbs #9007 for an automobile. They were only $15 a piece.

I got this from harescrambler
go to your local auto parts store get sylvania part#9007 cool bulb cost 14.00 modifcation required make sure the high beam watts are no larger than 55watts or you'll melt the lens pull the old bulbs out of the plastic housing next take the new bulbs out of there housing you have to dig the silocone out careful not to touch the bulb use rubbing alcohol to clean it if you do straightin the leads out on the new bulbs compare them to the old bulbs bend the leads where they need to be bent cut remainder off insert into old bulbs plastic connector the way you took the old ones out they work better than originals
