Default shift linkage?

I have a 425 magnum. It is hard to get it into gear and once i do get it in gear it kicks out sometimes. Is this the linkage. New tie rod??

Adjust the shift rod and set the idle down some.

not sure if this matters but it does it in both forward and reverse, especially when im on a steep slope. The low range works well though.

The hi and reverse are on the same shifter the lo is on its own.Put the shifter in neutral and take your end off at the tranny be sure the tranny is in nuetral and the rod end should drop right in (straight in not at an angle) adjust the end to where it drops in easy.Let us know how this is before we take you to the next step.

hey, i tried this and i cannot get it to work right. It either goes into forward good and won't go into reverse, or vice versa. I was out for a good hour today playing with it and can't get it to go.

Is your idle possibly set a little high? It can cause the same problems.

Boy is my @ss raw, I just got back from my world tour on my harley, I rode it AROUND the world(s) I got sand in my saddle in / in 'IRAQ' and didn't have to time clean it out since i got back !!!! that was a real 'kick in the *****' if you know what i am talking about I blew a hose out in '73xsquared' and verntured off into the scorching desert forest and walked for what seamed like 5 minutes and 37 seconds (it was actualy only 37 seconds the first five minutes i stood next to my harley and petted my pony) I decided I just wasn't far enough out to find anything good so i continued my voyage when all of the sudden I heard a rumble in the distance, it got louder and louder and louder, then it was softer until i couldn't hear it at all. I jumped into the air with flick of my sword and crossed th canyon in my way. I came out to a peninsala wear I met with a snake name joey. Joey crawled up inside my pants and he bit off my precious pony of love I fell into a well an woke up in africa (at my home) the roof was ablaze and my wife was standing outside naked screaming at the president of the garden clud of new mexico she ran over and drop kicked me in the groin but seeing as joey bit off the family jewels i was unfaised. And that is how I became the president of africa, you see elections are done by "roshamboe" very painful but rewarding in more ways then 1 so the moral of the story is enjoy yourself now before you get sideswiped by a golden goat.!!!
