hey guys, i was contemplating on which one I should buy. I mostly want speed to rip it up. But i also want a great handling quad with good suspension. Which would win in a drag, and which one has the holeshot. any inputs would be sweet. thanks.

Well both quads are good in certain areas. In a drag, the Predator eats it alive...both have good handling although the Pred has better suspension. The Z is a good all around bike as is the Pred. What kind of riding do you plan on doing the most??

 

I would say get the predator500!!!!!!!!!! its faster then my friends kxf400 (same as the z) and he has a pipe jet kit and hole shots.

I have both the z400 and the predator. Both are outstanding bikes, but each really is different. For ease of riding, the z400 is just a great all around bike, but it is not going to win many drag races against the larger displacement machines. The predator comes fairly well-equipped with some after-market goodies such as douglas alum rims, razr tires, braided brake lines. etc. the pred has 10-12HP stock over the z400, with the potential to produce quite a bit more as the aftermarket goodies continually become available. Based on what you want to do, it seems the pred may be the machine for you.
