All of you in here say one of the reasons you dont like the rubicon is because it does not have a push button 2 \4 wheel drive option. well what about the esp or automatic option. how many atvs let you shift your self or not.

Polaris,Yamaha ,Suziki,Kawaski, and AC all have the same option you just have to stop to change them.

You do not notice a tranny when you are riding, belt, gear or hydulic they all get you moving but you sure notice if you have long suspension or short when you hit a large bump. You notice you are in 4wd not 2wd when you tear around a curve on the trail. You notice 3wheels are only turning and not 4 when you are in a long mud run and you notice you have drums and not disk when you squeeze the brakes hard.Except for the tranny the Rubicon has nothing over a 500 Suzuki but will cost 1000 dollars more.

Rancheres4x4

I will admit that I am intrigued by the Rubicon transmission. I am assuming that the transmission has a push button shifter similar to the Rancher ES that allows you to shift when in D3 mode (I think that is right). I still would rather have the 2wd/4wd option instead of the shifting option. I recently went riding with a guy on a Rancher and all he kept complaining about was the machine wanting to push in the corners. The only time I engage the 4wd button is when I am in some serious mud/snow where I think I will need it. Based on review of the Rubicon, if I could merge the good points on the Rubicon and the Polaris, I would have one heck of a quad. It just goes to show how far the manufacture's (all) have to go to make the perfect utility atv.
