Has anyone had any experiences with the FMF pipes?
I have read quite a bit on the RCR and HPD pipes but nothing on the FMF.
My local dealer sells the FMF and I am curious about it.

Thanks for any help.

FMF has a good reputation in the pipe industry, but their Polaris pipes leave a bit to be desired. Got with the HPD or RCR.

There's a RCR Stage 1 kit for sale in the classified section, if you're looking for more than just a pipe.

Ask FMF for a dyno sheet and also for a clutch kit since they claim to gain so much rpm. I know what they will say. How do they expect the pipe to help?

I recived a fmf pipe for christmas. I got so excited I rushed to to garage to put it on. 3 hours latter I was so disapointed. It clamed 10 hp & 10 mph!!! it really lost 10 hp & 10 mph. so I called fmf and talked to someone. they swear that that pipe is the best thing since indoor plumbing. well there were right. that pipe was *hit. there dyno says it makes all the hp at 2750rpm. and after fighting with them I found out they were right. NOT!!!!!! Go with the rcr and you wont be disappointed. rick is a great guy and he will give you counseling to make your quad a rocket !!!!!

Captnemo, I think your referring to my ad? It sold last week. I spent the whole winter working on my bike, rode it once and it was a screamer.

I got a wild hair up my butt and decided to make a full on drag race quad. I'll be switching to a 39PWK alcohol carb from CT (bored to 40mm), +3" Hot Seat chromolly swingarm, and an HPD prototype pipe (they claim will make 75HP @ 7500RPM's, when measured at the crank on one of their race mod motors). I've basically got their race mod motor now, with lots of other go fast goodies. I hope the chasis and tranny are up to the challenge!!

The pipe is expected to be ready in 2-3 weeks, hopefully I'll have everything else in and dialed in by then. There is a guy I met locally who turned me on to this, he has a '98 400L using the HPD race mod set up with an FTZ alky carb running 5.45's in 300' sand drags.

As you can tell I'm excited about the prospect!!

I think what FMF forgets to tell everyone is that the pipe only makes it's horsepower(10+) after the OEM pipe has fallen flat on it's face. With a good pipe (RCR,HPD,AAEN), you'll make a lot more ponies after the original pipe has signed off.

I've personaly used this pipe and would have to agree with Mike. It has more power than stock, but than again so would the cardboard tube off of tiolet paper.
