A complete clutch kit would be the first thing along with a good air filter. Those would be the least of things you could do to start with. I am assuming it is the 4-stroke boss instead of the 250 2-cycle. If it is the 250 go to www.hpd-inc.com and take a look. Their products give the most bang and work good. You can get your prices from there also.Bubba

all you gotta do is get a toomey racing pipe that makes it goes 10 mph faster and better take off too this cost about 350$ and if you want even more speed go with some Vforce reed and that will give you even more take off and 5 mph even faster 140$ and 1 other suggestion take of the racks off your quad because the more weight the less power

the RCR stage 1 is the best deal i've seen yet. it includes the pipe, silencer, clutch kit, jets, k&n filter and air box mods. for my 2000 it is 325.00 and includes shipping. there are plenty of companies out that you can get mods at, but if your on a budget (married), this seemed like the best deal to me. i saw someone else on the forum had it installed on their t boss, and they were happy with the results. however you decide to go, have fun. also, do you have stock front bumper? i want to mod mine. ok, i need to replace it. stupid tree!

i haven't got the mod yet, it was Blaney who said he had it put on his, Blaney if you're out there, you can answer that best. he did say it really woke up his quad. if nothing else contact whoever makes the product you choose first. better to ask first then to buy and be sorry.

It will not make your bike less reliable. It really makes it faster off the line with a good increase in top speed. The rcr stage 1 kit can be bought anywhere. Hotseat performance claims that thier speed kit can keep up with a 500 scrammy. I do know someone with the hotseat kit and it really rips. He has not run against a 500 scrammy but I think he will give it a run for sure. I have a highly moded trailblazer that will run with a 400 scrammy and his trailboss has just a tad more top speed then mine. The top speed on my Trailblazer is 68mph. He might be around 69-70. I get him off the line easily but the 2 stroke is natrually quicker but he pulls on me fast and are even till I top out and then he slowly creeps by.
