What's a guy to do?

What's the story on required maintenance for the first year? Obviously oil changes and greasing. My local dealer wants to adjust the valves to the tune of 200 bones. Is this necessary? What if I don't? Thanks.

The valves probably should be adjusted the first year. You could get a manual and do it yourself, but I don't know if warranty would recognize that.
