My riding buddy has a Sportsman 500 and it breaks about every other day. A few days ago the rear a-arms broke, top and bottom. From a tiny jump. And all those electrical problems and the endless speedometer junk. Maybe he got a lemon. But from the experiences I've had with all 3 of his Polaris's, they're trash.

.well I haven't learned my lesson yet I keep buying that trash, thats one reason I posted pic's so you can see just what these pieces of junk can take.Polaris didn't get to second places being junk, they are doing something right.Would HONDA have upgraded thier line if POLARIS wasn't in thier back door.YEAH RIGHT.Not only HONDA but all the manufactors set up and took notice after the 500SP came out.WE put them threw thier paces at MOAB not many machines get the beating we gave them.GM uses MOAB to test thier new HUMMERS.With any luck the RUBICON will be everything they claim it is,we as consumers are going to win.YAMAHA POLARIS and the rest aren't going to just sit back and say oh shucks wish we had thought of that. They'll come up with something bigger and better hopefully.COB

CHICKENman,
I would have to say that the previous posters missed the point of your post - big time.
Awesome pictures! There is some real pretty territory out there to discover. Kinda jealous I would have to say.
I really enjoy when people post pictures of their adventures on their ATVs, whatever they ride. Gives the rest of us a view of places we may never get to ride.
The new machine looks very, well, yellow! Glad to hear you like it.
Hey what's with that design on the seat? Doesn't look stock to me. Could it be a little customization? Could it be a little customization that was added along with a little extra padding for the COB?
Great pics, thanks,
DJ

Great pictures of the MOAB, CHICKENman, and a good example of what rock crawling is all about. Some of those places really look spooky and really tough on equipment.
After looking at cotton fields year round and with very limited places to ride hear in Alabama, I am seriously envious of you guys out west because of the opportunities you have out there. I've done some jeeping in the mountains of Tennessee over the years and they can present some real challenges, too. The west just has a different beauty as well as the inherent danger and threat of life and limb.
Thanks for your post and pics, very interesting--and by the way no matter what they say, it looks like you put that new yellow thing through some serious testing with success.
