so hey what did that stabilizer do for ya?

 

A stabalizer reduces the bump steer when you hit bumps at a high speed. Also, I learned my lesson this weekend, if you are going to do ANY jumping or going over whoops, get a chain tensioner. My chain got really loose in the middle of the trail. Luckily, I heard it and was able to go real slow out of the trail and take the road back to the trailer before my chain broke and caused some major damage. I ordered an HPD chain tensionor the moment I got home

 

hey bigbad,i bought the tensioner but never put it on because of my aluminum guard i put on .do i have to cut the guard or does it still fit on ?

I am not sure. The tensioner wont be in until Friday. I will let you know then. Do you want to know if it will interfer with an alum. skid plate?

 

What are some good skid plates? I've looked at the ProArmor set and the Polaris set....any others I should check out? Should I go aluminum or what? I'm guessing this will be the first thing I add until my warranty runs out.....

 

Ricochet looks looks pretty good too. I only have a-arm skids right now. I ripped both cv boots so these skids to me are the most important first. I actually made my own.

I got a nice tight fitting aluminum rear swing arm skid from hsp didnt lose but about 1/2 " of clearance about 100$

 

Ok, I just got a 02 Scrambler 500 4x4. I want some more out of it, but dont want all the noise of the new pipes. My buddies put pipes on the Kawasakies and I see the difference but I dont want the noise. I can ride right out of my door and the noise will **** the nieghbors off and ruin that. What should I do to put some more muscle in this machine?? I have to say I was expecting a bit more out of this machine. I ride an 02 500xcsp polaris snowmobile and that thing has some *****..

 

My HPD exhaust is rated at 93 db. It isn't that loud until you really open it up. If noise is an issue, you can get a quieter muffler from HPD. The supertrapp muffler has disks that will quiet it down as well
