Default EBS on 2002 400SP??/

Can anyone tell me what is involved in installing EBS on my 400 Sportsman?..... I find that EBS is the only thing I really wish I had.... Is it an option, is it expensive and can I install it myself for a reasonable price?......I'm hoping it's just clutch weights and springs that need to be changed but not exactly sure...

Thanks

Nope, not that easy, sorry. You must replace both clutches with EBS style clutches. There are alot more differences than just springs and weights. It would probably cost around 600 or 700 bucks to buy the parts from the dealer unless, you can find someone parting one out, which I just happent o knopw of someone, but unsure if they still have the clutches. If you are really interested, let me know and I will get you in contact with them.

A kit is available to put EBS on your 400, part #2200952. It retails for about $400. This kit is only for 2-strokes.
If you want to put one on an older 4-stroke the # is 2200953 and its about $450. Its about a 30 to 45 minute
job. Both drive and driven clutches and the belt are replaced. You will need a drive clutch puller and some basic tools. You use the existing weights and spring.
Its a good idea to check the offset alignment on the new clutches and that is another tool, so it might be something a good dealer should install.
