Can't get my 325 Magnum to start
I went out today to wash my Magnum and it started on full choke, then died after about 2 minutes. Not it won't start unless I spray carb cleaner in the intake. Then it only runs for about 30 seconds. What is the best way to check the fuel pump? This quad only has about 50 hours on it.Seems weird that the fuel pump would be bad.The plug looked good and it did start with the carb cleaner,so I doubt that the plug is the problem.Any ideas?

Hey Bigfoot what a bummer that nobodies responding. It ran when you washed it and now it does'nt?
Sounds like ya got WATER somewhere dude. Does spark plug show signs of moisture on it ?
Runs with starting fluid then quits? Shake her around a bit, maybe gas is gettin blocked by something in tank!!
Gotta be something simple cause thats what gives us the biggest bummers everyday. Hope more folks try to help ya out.....DUG

The best I can suggest is check all connections and to be sure your air filter did not get wet when you washed it. Also take a hard look at the spark plug boot , mine had a crack in it but did not show up a as problem until water hit the hot plug during a run through cold water.

Thanks guys for the ideas. The no start problem had nothing to do with washing.I started it, to move it out in the yard to wash it and it died before I even turned the hose on.It just would not restart.Today,I took the fuel line off of the fuel pump and hooked it up to a gravity fed tank.It started right up and ran good.So I hooked everything back up and it runs and starts just fine.Still baffles me,but at least it runs.

What you did tells me that one of two things had happened, one you had an air lock in your fuel system or two that there was some major dirt in the line preventing the fuel from flowing through the pump properly and when you disconnected the line it released the dirt. Glad your back on the trails, one suggestions I can make is when you fill up use a fuel funnel with a built in filter this will screen out any major dirt and also check inside your fuel tank ther may be sediment in the bottom that could cause further problems.

I gottcha bro,
I had a magnum but it is like this with all polaris's
The ETC cuts the motor off when the throttle is stuck open
So when your cable starts to stretch like it should, it thinks the throttle is wide open, I've seen it thirty thousand times.
Adjust that throttle cable and see what happens.
